👉 What the day job looks like:

As a Group Leader, you will:

  • Oversee daily production, labelling, and packing operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfilment.
  • Monitor machine performance, output, and material usage—minimising downtime and waste.
  • Lead, train, and coach a high-performing production team, holding daily shift meetings and regular 1-to-1 sessions.
  • Assign tasks based on priorities and individual strengths to maximise team efficiency.
  • Champion food safety, HACCP, GMP, and health & safety compliance across your line.
  • Conduct in-process checks and report non-conformances or quality deviations.
  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities for smarter, safer, and leaner operations.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Planning, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot and escalate production challenges.
  • Report on KPIs such as efficiency, yield, downtime, and safety—turning insights into action.
